For the past 16 years, she has practiced a weekly day without screens, a ritual she shares in her national bestselling book 24/6: Giving up Screens One Day a Week to Get More Time, Creativity, and Connection, winner of the Marshall McLuhan Outstanding Book Award. Her artwork, films, and performances have been presented at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Sundance Film Festival, and at U.S. embassies worldwide. Working across mediums, Shlain explores the intersections of philosophy, technology, neuroscience, and nature.
